At 8:00 am on the second Saturday
of every month, a group of recumbent riders met at People Movers recumbent store
and ride to Huntington Beach. Parking is available at the People Movers store
and Jim always makes sure he's got a cup of hot coffee and muffins for you. The
ride is about 13 miles from the store's parking lot to the end of the bike trail
that end at the Pacific Ocean and connects to the Huntington
Beach and the Newport trails. Five miles north from the rest stop is the
Huntington Beach Pier where Ruby's is a good place for lunch. Ten miles from the
Pier is Bolsa Chica beach. South from the rest stop is the Newport bike trail
and it runs mostly on streets.
